Ireneusz Walczak (1961 - 2023) was active/lived in Poland.  Ireneusz Walczak is known for Painting.

Ireneusz Walczak deals with painting, drawing and graphics. In the 1980s he graduated from the Faculty of Graphics at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. He holds the degree of full professor and runs a painting studio at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice. Walczak's work has been repeatedly appreciated by critics and curators, and his works have taken part in many exhibitions in Poland and abroad. The artist's work has been presented at numerous art fairs, e.g. in Cologne, Frankfurt, Strasbourg, Hanover, Amsterdam and Basel. 

In 1993, Walczak received the prestigious "The Pollock - Krasner Foundation Award" scholarship in New York. He is also a laureate of numerous national and international awards and distinctions. From the beginning of his creative path, he participated in eminent exhibitions, in particular in Poland and Germany. In the last 20 years, he has presented his work at several exhibitions at the BWA and the Silesian Museum in his native Katowice.
